First Story AppearanceEdit
Sins of Youth
A variety of specialized whips, including ones made of energy.
None; just skill. An unrivaled expert with a whip.
Flay’s philosophy can be summed up in a single phrase: The best are remembered. A young man who joined the HIVE Academy for Extraordinary Young People, Flay is an unrivaled expert with whips of all kinds—a skill that has made him quite arrogant and earned him some unkind epitaphs from his peers. His first appearance was a brief introduction to Jackal in Sins of Youth.
Despite his villainous goals, Flay has a noble streak buried underneath, revealed in his willingness to face down the evil Tall Man in Boogeymen II, his only story appearance so far. Ironically, despite his personal philosophy, Flay hasn’t appeared in any story since.
Still, he may eventually appear in a future work when least expected. After all, the best are remembered. And Flay is the best in his class.
(An official Legendverse No Prize goes to the first person to discern the significance of his name.)
